The venue is looking for a Head Chef who sets the tone, not someone who simply manages the shift. This role needs structure, consistency, leadership, and the ability to keep a busy kitchen performing under pressure.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead day-to-day execution of a large-scale, high-volume kitchen
Plan, organise, and execute services with consistency and precision
Maintain food standards, presentation, and service delivery across every trading period
Lead, mentor, and develop a mid-sized team across varying skill levels
Build a kitchen culture rooted in teamwork, accountability, and respect
Coordinate closely with management and front-of-house
Maintain strong food safety, hygiene, and OH&S standards
Monitor workflows, staffing, and performance to keep service sharp
Drive food cost awareness, budgeting, and operational discipline
Bring energy, structure, and leadership to a venue that values consistency
ABOUT YOU
Proven experience leading a kitchen in a high-volume hospitality environment
Strong ability to develop, mentor, and elevate junior chefs and kitchen staff
Highly organised, with the ability to plan ahead and execute with structure and control
Resilient, proactive, and quick-thinking under peak service pressure
Strong leadership presence with a positive, solutions-focused attitude
Works with speed, precision, and cleanliness across every section
Sound knowledge of food safety, compliance, and OH&S
Commercially aware across food costs, budgeting, and kitchen controls
Passionate about hospitality and lifting the standards of a team
Brings energy, maturity, and consistency to every service
